Which do you like and why? I personally run auto because my hands are always full of steering wheel... The only bad thing about auto is on the Taco it likes to pop out of gear during the worst times.

jeremy i think its time to put a real shifter in that truck....lol. the stock one aint working out all that well..

Yeah it loves to pop out of gear and hit redline at the worst possible times... That will be an upgrade when I install the new 383 stroker, 9 inch rear end, and trans. One day soon...

Just remember that when you jump the truck with the std. trans that it is gonna jarr the whole drive line and its really tought particularly on the u-joints, whereas the auto will give leeway you the jar and abuse. also th400 and th350's are plentiful and cheap

I prefer the auto now because I'm to lazy to shift. Also with the Expo it was nice to just click down one gear and have the perfect rpm change. Like Jeremy said its also better to have full control of the wheel.

The only thing i love stick when i am not driving because we can rock our selfs out of diches and stuff like that but auto i love as yall said full wheel control
